Snotlout x Reader - Listening

Watching the racers passing by your side, you smiled at Snotlout. His haired flowing in the wind, while his Monstrous Nightmare showing off some moves of his own. Seeing dust come out of nowhere, it seemed he has lost again. To Astrid, who apparently was better than him. You rushed over to Snotlout, he jumped off his dragon whipping his hair side to side. He seemed to notice you, as he work on his charm.

“So ______________, did you like what you see?” You couldn’t help, but smile, yet hide the blush that was forming.

“Well of course I did Snotlout-”

“Hey Snotlout, next time try to make a U-turn around that building.” looking over, you frown a little, seeing Ruffnut. She was pretty and Snotlout caught his eye on her. Your smile into a sad face. Ever since Hiccup and Astrid got together, Snotlout has been all over Ruffnut, when clearly she didn’t want him, nor Fishlegs. Snotlout started walking to her and trying to impress his charm onto her.

“I’ll see you later _____________.” You sigh looking over at Hookfang. He nuzzled against you as he offered his head to you. You smiled a little, as you got onto him and flew away. Soaring through the skies, it was nice. You tried to talk things out with Hookfang.

“I know you don’t understand me, Hookfang, but I wish Snotlout can see that I like him a lot.” Hookfang understood. “I mean just look, I had a crush on him, for a long time. Yet he seems to go after the pretty ones…” a tear was forming into your eyes as Hookfang landed on the cliff side of Berk. You watch as the sun was setting, patting his neck he really enjoy it. Once that was done, you hopped off landing on the ground, while still petting his head. He really enjoy that as he nuzzled against you, making you giggle. You sat down as his head was on the ground as well.

“Hookfang, am I pretty enough…?” that question always wondered. Hookfang nodded his head. Clearly he was right, yet did Snotlout knew. Pulling your legs closer to yourself, you sigh. “You know I wish Snotlout can see that I really care for him. Yet he was nice enough to let me fly with you. As I am hopeless in finding a dragon for myself.” Hookfang just snorted smoke out of his nose, nuzzling you again. You giggled as you hugged him. “Thank you Hookfang, you’re the only one that understands me.” Upon this, Hookfang lifted his head up and looked over behind him. Curious as you were, you turned your head back seeing Snotlout. You bit your lip, wondering if he heard you. Snotlout came over and sat down besides you while Hookfang swatted his tail at him.

“Come on Hookfang, what did I do was wrong?” rubbing his head, while fixing his helmet, you giggle silently while watching the sun at its horizon.

“Apparently something big..” Snotlout looked at you, but you never looked back at him.

“______________ sometimes I don’t understand Hookfang.”

“Have you ever tried talking with him..he likes it you know.” still looking out there. Snotlout thought about it.

“You know, I have been thinking.”

“Oh about what?” wondering you turned your head to look at him. He turned his head looking straight into your eyes.

“Well..you know how I am trying to get Ruffnut to like me-”

“Oh that.” you stood up feeling angry. Snotlout was confuse at this, as he was about to say something, but you interrupted him. “Come on Snotlout, when will you ever notice. She is not into you!” practically screaming at him, as you felt your heart hurting inside. You didn’t even want to look at him as you walked away, ready to get on Hookfang.

“_____________ wait I’m not done talking to you.” he quickly got up as he grabbed your wrist pulling you close to him.

“Stop..I don’t want to hear anymore of this-”

“Will you please just hear me out?” you stopped as you looked at him.

“You are right…clearly I haven’t been opening my eyes to see that the one person that cared about me…” he cupped your cheek with his other hand as he let go of his other. Blushing was forming on your cheeks, wondering what he was going to do next. “Was you ________________.” he closed his eyes, capturing your lips into a passionate kiss, you melt into the kiss as you wrapped your arms around him, kissing him back. He held you close, bringing in more of the feeling into it. This felt like heaven to you as the gods of Odin was answering your prayers. Snotlout broke the kiss, as you looked into him.

“Why now? Of all this.” you asked.

“Overhearing your conversation with Hookfang, made me realize how much of a big jerk I have been to you.”

“And I’m surprised to even hear those words coming out of your mouth.” He chuckled as he pressed his forehead against yours.

“Well what can I say, I’m a sensitive guy with feelings too.” pressing your lips against his, you knew he was right after all. Snotlout smiled through the kiss, feeling this was true.
