Finding a Way Home pt1

Being called down to Sixth’s lab they didn’t know why, Rabbit holding Delilah in her arms as she and Spine were walking in. Rabbit placed her daughter on the ground seeing as she walked around.

“Whoa!” seeing all new things, Sixth has bee busy. Sixth looked back as he walked over to Rabbit and Spine.

“So how is everything working for you both?’ asking this as he wrote some stuff down.

“Been okay” Spine spoke as Rabbit speak up,

“Well its been okay, I mean everything works we-we-well.”

“That’s good to hear” writing some stuff down. Delilah was walking around in the lab, as her parents were talking to Sixth. She continue walking, although something shiny came to her. Looking over, she walked up to what seemed like a portal. She wondered as she saw the big blue button. Delilah looked back and looked at it once more. Curious bot as she was, she pressed the button. Suddenly the gears were turning as the lights were shining, Delilah got frighten as she couldn’t move, she was frozen in her spot. Sixth looked back as he panic,

“DELILAH! Get away from there!” Spine hurried to get her, but suddenly winds started picking up as they were being suck in. Delilah held onto something, scared for her life, Rabbit and Sixth held onto something tight while Spine tried his best to reach her.

“Grab  my hand*reaching out to her, the winds picked up causing her to slip. Reaching out her tiny hand, she tried her best. The portal  began to brighten seeing all sort of blues swirling around.

“I cant reach...Pappy” crying as she was. Inches away from her, The Spine reached closer, her hands slipped out as she was suck into the portal screaming.

“MAMA! PAPPY!“ The winds died down as the portal was closing. Rabbit ran to the portal before it was closing so did The Spine. Reaching to there point, it closed causing Rabbit to dropped down on her knees. Seeing the only thing that was left was her ribbon that she put on her before they got here. Holding it close, tears were already coming down.

“No…NO!” screaming was all she could do as she started crying. The Spine kneeled down besides her, holding her close while looking up at Sixth.

“Please you have to open the portal” begging he did, Sixth lowered his head.

“I’m sorry, but once the portal was opened it doesn’t reopened for another 2 years.” Rabbit let go of Spine as she stood up flailing her arms around.

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CAN’T REOPENED IT!”

“I’m sorry, there’s nothing I can do”

“There’s always something Sixth, my little girl is in some god fo-fo-fo-fo-forsaken place and she’s probably terrified.” started to leak oil again, she held herself close trying to hold her head up. “She’s only a little girl, she needs us….and..” looking back at him, she started to growl and yell.

“This is all YOUR FAULT!”

“My fault?” knowing her sudden actions, she nodded. Pointing the finger at him,

“You’re the only one that made the portal, you fix it!” running off in tears, Sixth lowered his head knowing her pain. The Spine looked at him as he asked,

“Just please find a way, who knows what’s happening to her right now” Sixth nodded as The Spine ran off to find Rabbit. Sixth sat down in his chair, placing his head on the table, thinking.

“Please be alright, wherever you are…”

Delilah rolling over and over, seeing so many things flying passed her, a sudden light flashed as she was being sucked into it. Finally she landed on the ground with a thud. Groaning as her head spin, she looked back seeing the portal closing, she hurried to it, but it closed before she can go in. Whimpering and scared, she didn’t know where she was. The placed looked familiar, could she be back? She began to stood up and walked.

“This feels like home…” she walked out of the lab and started running, was all she could do. As she turned by the corner she bumped into something, falling on the ground she looked up and smiled,

“Pappy!” The Spine looked confused as he spoke,

“I’m sorry, but I’m not your pappy” kneeling down, Delilah felt sad as she began to cry, The Spine reached his hand out cupping her cheek.

“Now now don’t worry, I’m sure we can find your parents?” but she shook her head. The Spine was about to ask, when he heard a loud noise.

“HEY SPINE YOU GOT TO CHEEK OUT WHAT KITTEN LEARNED!” walking over to him, she stopped and looked down, while kneeling on the floor.

“Mama…” Rabbit had a confuse look on her face as she shook her head.

“Nope!, sorry”  Delilah knew it wasn’t them, maybe the portal send her to another dimension or something.

“What is your name?” asking from The Spine, Delilah looked up and spoke,

“My name is Delilah Lago Walter”

“A Walter huh?” Rabbit spoke,  “than yo-yo-you must be related to us” smiling at her, as she shook her head.

“Whys that?” the Spine questioned as Delilah held herself close shaking.

“Aww the poor dear~” Rabbit picked her up and held her close. Delilah couldn’t take it anymore as she started crying, clinging onto Rabbits shirt, The Spine stood up and looked down at her. Delilah started hiccupping while speaking.

“I..just..*hiccup* want to go..*hiccup*..home…*hiccup*” Rabbit comforted her the best that she can.

“Where is your home?” she asked as Delilah looked at her.

“Here…but in a different world..” Rabbit and Spine looked at each other and looked back down at her.

“There, There, Mama Rabbit here will make it all better, but first” setting her down on the floor, Rabbit spoke. “How about you stay he-he-here until Spine and I can fix this?” Delilah wipe some of the tears away and nodded.

“Wonderful, now we have some people I think you will enjoy seeing” she took her hand and started walking along with The Spine. For awhile they finally made it, hearing children laughing and playing, Delilah held onto Rabbits leg, Rabbit notice and saw that she was nervous.

“Its okay, they are ni-ni-nice” smiling at her, Delilah wasn’t sure. The other children saw and ran up to Rabbit and Spine.

“Well hello there, my name is Kitten” she pulled out her hand, Delilah wasn’t sure, yet Rabbit pushed her in front of her. As Delilah took her hand and shook it.

“My name is N2S, but you can call me Junior” smiling at her, Delilah bit her lip,

“And my name is Hatchsquirt” eating his sandwich, causing her to remember her uncle. Delilah looked back at Rabbit and Spine and spoke,

“Will..you come back?” shaking with worry, they both nodded.

“We’ll be back, kids make sure she feels right at home” they cheered agreeing as Kitten pulled her hand and led her to there play set. Rabbit and Spine walked out as they both began to speak.

“Do you think she came through the portal?” Rabbit spoke as Spine shrugged his shoulders,

“But she called us her ‘Mama’ and ‘Pappy’ could it be that in a different dimension that our doppelgangers made her?” Thinking about it, it felt weird to them.

“Gross I would never do that you’re my-my-my-my brother” still walking heading into Sixth’s lab. Spine just chuckled,

“But whatever they did, she defiantly looks like a mix of us” she nodded.

“She misses them, the poor dear” Rabbit spoke, seeing Sixth. Sixth looked over and asked,

“Is there something I can do for you?”

“We have a problem…”
